IMA Boston Chapter Community,
Hope everyone is safe and healthy!
These past 15 months the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly disrupted the global economic system and daily life, sending countries into various degrees of economic recession, has also worsened poverty rates and global inequality. Half of under-developed countries were already in economic distress and at high risk of debt crisis before the pandemic, only to be astounded by the economic contraction caused by both the pandemic and the health infrastructures used to contain the virus, such as lockdowns, limits on movements, etc.
Our Boston Chapter Board provides abundant opportunities to learn, teach, mentor, share, and improve quality engagements. The IMA Boston chapter enables us to advocate, brainstorm, meet, network and socialize with the members and colleagues.
I'm honored to serve as the President of IMA Boston Chapter, particularly in providing more opportunities for meaningful engagement of our members, introducing innovative programming formats and topics, and providing professional development and outreach opportunities. We will also try to develop new initiatives, as well as adding programs which can be held in collaboration with other chapters in the tri-state area and beyond.
I want to express my appreciation for the efforts of the past board. We are very much looking forward to celebrate the hundredth anniversary. Thank you members for your continued participation and enthusiasm in our professional community and your incredible support and advice. I strongly suggest you to get to know the chapter board, listed on the “About Chapter” tab, and reach out with any questions or suggestions that you may have to the corresponding chair in the board by utilizing the chapter directory. I am very much open to receiving your suggestions.
Looking forward to connecting with you on our upcoming chapter events. Wishing you a good and successful 2021-2023.
